Dear Artists, It’s time for us to gather. Enough waiting around. It’s time for us to gather — and open our hearts to each other’s stories — to not be afraid of each other’s truth. When I witness the racist bigotry that accumulated in Charlottesville, I thought that we as humans are better than this. This feels like a cancer – a disease. And I thought, yes we can gather too. It’s one of those chef aprons – sans pockets, knee length, and striped vertically.
This precious apron doesn’t just protect my jeans (or sometimes pajamas) from random paint splatters. It symbolizes something very important to me.
